Research interests:
Rudra Pratap Singh is a dynamic Graduate Research Assistant and MASc student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Victoria. He completed his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, India, in 2023.
His research interests span a broad spectrum of cutting-edge fields, including Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems, communications technology, computers and information processing, sensors, circuits and systems, robotics and automation, electronic design automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), and cybersecurity. With a passion for developing innovative and scalable solutions, Rudra focuses on the intersection of hardware, software, and secure communication technologies.
During his academic journey, he was awarded the prestigious Mitacs Globalink Research Internship at the University of Manitoba, where he gained valuable international research experience. His published work spans multiple disciplines, including oceanography, IoT, and teaching pedagogy, reflecting his ability to address real-world challenges through interdisciplinary research.
Recognized for his academic excellence, Rudra has received the Graduate Scholarship from the University of Victoria and the Mitacs Globalink Award. His commitment to solving complex technological challenges positions him at the forefront of research in IoT systems, secure communication protocols, and advanced embedded technologies.
